Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known by the name Ashanti was born on the 13th of October 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American songwriter, singer and actor. Ashanti is a teen singer-songwriter and actress from the United States has been signed to Murder Inc. Records to make a record in 2002.
